Strange Bird is another remix, this time of Montserrat Black. We stumbled across this style by experimenting with various distortion effects. While relatively constrained, its wobbly outline gives it an organic, almost hand-painted feel – with blobby elements that sometimes give the impression of serifs.
It’s a friendly and retro font that looks like it belongs in a title card from a Western-themed episode of Looney Tunes. Because of its general eccentricity, we named it “Strange Bird,” which is a synonym for “weirdo.”
